Annual County Advisory Committee Meeting

On April 9, 2024, we hosted our annual county advisory committee meeting. Thirty county advisory committee members and all HPWD Board members and staff were present.

Presentations addressed the following topics:

  • 2024 water level observations
  • 2023 Irrigation Assessment Program
  • Regional Water Planning
  • Education
  • Cost Depletion Program
  • Water Well Registration
  • Groundwater availability studies for subdivisions

4-H Water Ambassador Applications

Applications for the 8th cohort of Texas 4-H Water Ambassadors are being accepted March 15 through May 1.  Students within HPWD who are accepted to the program are eligible for a tuition gift of $300.

 Conservation Reminders

How much water do you use outdoors?  As the spring weather arrives, many of us look forward to caring for outdoor areas.  Before irrigating this season, please consider using the WaterMyYard program HPWD offers.
