Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code prescribes the terms of compensation for district directors. 

Sec. 36.060 (a)".......fees of office may not exceed $250 for each day the director actually spends performing the duties of a director.   The fees of office may not exceed $9,000 a year."

(b) "Each director is also entitled to receive reimbursement of actual expenses reasonably and necessarily incurred while engaging in activities on behalf of the district."

The directors' expenses are shown in the monthly financial reports, which are published monthly in the board meetings page.
